OMNITEC Solutions ( is currently seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to help us support DMA Public Web (DMA-PW), a fast and secure DoD enterprise-level hosting service provider. DMA-PW provides a wide variety of services for publicly-accessible websites and social media blogs including Web development, Web design, system engineering, network operations, security, training, and site migration.

Imagine supporting 800+ military and DoD web sites, including the the flagship websites for the DoD, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Our preferred Cloud Engineer candidate should be able to execute architectural plans to final deployment, design and configure build plans, and create automated toolsets. The candidate should be a subject matter expert fluent in the use of the latest AWS best practices.

Quick Note #1: An active Secret clearance or one expired within the last 24 months that can be immediately re-activated is 100% required. 

Quick Note #2: This is a full-time, onsite position located at the OMNTEC Solutions office in San Antonio, TX, 78249.


Our Cloud Engineer will be immersed in the following tasks: 

  • Setup and maintain various services and support tools, primarily on AWS;
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability;
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks;
  • Assist in the integration of new systems and tools into the technical support flow and infrastructure;
  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems;
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
  • Liaise with other IT personnel and partners for problem resolution;
  • Assist in developing training material for internal team and external users;
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.


  • An active Secret clearance or one expired within the last 24 months that can be immediately re-activated;
  • A minimum of 2 + years’ experience as a cloud administrator with a primary responsibility of AWS;
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, DotNetNuke, and web technologies;
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and maintain technical documentation;
  • Prior exposure to some programming language: Python, PHP, Java, C;
  • Solid knowledge of Shell Scripting and command line management;
  • AWS Associate certificates are a plus.
