OMNITEC Solutions, Inc., ( http://www.omnitecinc.com ) provides a wide range of analytical and strategic management support to the Department of Defense (DoD) / Navy acquisition portfolio of programs. 

Our team supporting our NAVAIR client onboard the Naval Air Station Patuxent River near Lexington Park, MD has an opening for a Sr. Visual Communications professional with extensive graphics / visual design experience to develop a wide variety of communications products!

 

Please Note: In addition to the required job skills outlined below, US citizenship and either an active DoD Secret clearance or a clearance which expired within the past 24 months is 100% required!

 

This position is responsible for effective visual messaging of content across a variety of media and platforms. Advanced graphic and artistic ability, as well as the ability to use a wide variety of materials and techniques to accomplish the goals of the client and the team. Promotes good customer service by ensuring that clients receive their projects in a timely fashion by working independently with an aptitude for team collaboration. Also, must possess excellent all-around MS Office Suite software skills, with a focus on PowerPoint – experience using, familiarity and expertise in SharePoint and/or Captivate are a Big Plus!

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, develop and maintain visual materials using PowerPoint and graphic design skills;
  • Work with internal clients to determine their requirements and create visuals and/or products to meet their needs with ability to advise them with regard to design messaging, style, format, print production and timetables;
  • Work independently and also collaboratively with training team members providing visual design support of the highest quality;
  • Conceptualize and create engaging and illustrative visual aids (factsheets, infographics, motion graphics, short videos);
  • Maintain and/or enhance SharePoint web presence; 
  • Fulfill other ad hoc administrative duties;
  • Troubleshoot, test and analyze technical problems of a variety of digital communication tools to determine a solution.

Required Skills:

  • An active or recently expired DoD Secret security clearance is required;
  • BS or BA degree preferred, but additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree;
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience, with two years of that experience as a supervisor / team lead is required;
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a focus on PowerPoint;
  • Proven ability to conceptualize and create a broad range of design materials
  • Strong knowledge and proven skills in graphic design / visual communications, layout and typography;
  • Excellent analytical, writing, verbal and presentation skills; 
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, highly responsive, organized, and a track record of meeting deadlines; 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Captivate proficiency is a Big Plus!
