Media Research Analyst (overnight shift)

We are actively seeking people who thrive on the mechanics and nuances of media research, data gathering, and analysis to provide up-to-the-minute situational awareness of topics concerning national security and foreign policy.
OMNITEC Solutions, Inc., (www.omnitecinc.com) provides tailored public affairs research and analysis for the U.S. government. We analyze multiple news media formats (print, online, television, radio, and social) and encapsulate key information into easily consumed themes and trends to aid senior officials in their day-to-day decision-making.
Please take note of these critical items:
1: U.S. citizenship and an active DOD issued Secret clearance, or a Secret clearance which has been inactive less than 24 months;
2: Work primarily on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, area (22202) with some limited remote/telecommuting available. After an initial on-site training period, remote/telecommuting will be available for some shifts. Occasional team meetings on the client site in Arlington, VA, are also required.
3: The work hours are approximately 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Monday through Friday, and one weekend per month.
Duties and Responsibilities
We require people with hands-on experience capturing, reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting open-source mainstream and social media coverage, as it relates to a large and complex organization. We are adamant about fresh perspectives without bias.
You will use your detailed analysis and superb communication skills to prepare briefings, executive summaries, point papers, and related products. Your primary responsibility will be the production of a news summary product to be disseminated to senior officials.
